Community Walk to Protect Pedham Place
18th June 2024
Pedham Place in Eynsford and Farningham has been targetted as a potential development site for 2500 new homes. This important part of the Green Belt is a protected National Lanscape and part of the North Downs. The Protect our Greenbelt Together group, together with local parish councils is fighting to save this important green space from development.
They have organised a community walk through the site, on public footpaths to support its protections.
Here are the details:
Protect our Greenbelt Together would love everyone to join us in our community nature walk through Pedham Place. As you are probably aware, Pedham Place is in danger of being put into the Sevenoaks Local Plan 2040, which could mean the loss of some of our important natural environment. We’re inviting everyone to come and explore the public rights of way from Farningham through Pedham Place on a circular walk and experience the nature rich landscape that we are in danger of losing forever. They’ll be fun activities along the way too for all the family and a photo opportunity.Saturday June 29th at 10am from the Lion Hotel in Farningham.
