New Arboreal Acrostic at Lullingstone
7th March 2023
On Saturday 4th March members of the parish council and it's green team planted 13 new trees in the form of an Acrostic at Lullingstone (by the chicken tree). The acrostic was the idea of Tree Warden John Gee and was funded by the parish council which is keen to encourage tree planting in the parish. Thank you also to James Alexander for permission to plant the trees and for helping with access and watering.
The trees of the new acrostic spell out SAVE THE PLANET with Sycamore, Alder, Vachellia (Fever tree), Eucalyptus, Tulip tree, Hornbeam, Elm, Plane, Lime, Acer, Nut tree, English oak, Tuja.
We will be registering the new acrostic as part of the Queen's Green Canopy and a new bench will be installed nearby shortly for walkers to admire the acrostic and the view across the valley!
Thank you to Chris Lewington for the photos
