Parish Council Elections 7th May 2015
17th March 2015
On 7th May 2015 you will be able to vote for parish councillors as well as district councillors and MPs in the general election.
Eynsford Parish Council has 8 seats. If more than 8 candidates stand there will be an election. If 8 or less stand, they will be elected en bloc without the voting process.
Are you interested in becoming a councillor? This is a great opportunity to make your views heard and to have a say in what happens in your own community. It is great to have councillors with a wide range of interests and backgrounds to bring differing viewpoints to the table.
The council is consulted on all planning applications in the parish as well as on planning policy. We communicate regularly with Kent Highways about issues with roads, pavements and footpaths. The council owns recreation grounds in the village and is responsible for these as well as other areas. The council also supports local groups and charities serving the area.
Meetings are held on the third Thursday of the month and the first Monday of the month at 8pm in Eynsford.
If you are interested in standing, have a look at the Elections section on this website or contact the Clerk on eynsford.pc@tiscali.co.uk on 01322 865320.
Nomination papers MUST be submitted to Sevenoaks District Council by 9th April 2015 for all candidates that wish to stand.
