Recycle your Crisp Packets!
20th February 2020
The parish council's Green Working Group has set up a crisp packet collection scheme so that you can recycle your crisp packets.
We are working with two local Teracycle collectors as an intermediary collection point. Any proceeds from the recycling will go to two charities: Kent Air Ambulance and OCD UK (a mental health charity).
You are welcome to bring in any empty crisp packets of any brand, and also the larger multi-pack wrappers. Please make sure they are empty and flat (ish), not folded into tiny shapes! Please do not leave your plastic bags, do take them home and re-use them. Please bring your packets during office opening times and don't leave them outside as they may get blown away.
We are also talking to local businesses to set up a collection of crisp packets from them too. We are pleased that Anthony Roper Primary School already have their own recycling scheme. So there is no excuse for putting them in your black bags - get recycling!!
