Defibrillator

Eynsford has two publicly accessible defibrillators. One is located on the outside wall of Eynsford village hall, off the High Street. (For those of you who do not know, the village hall is down a side road situated next to Rafferty's Store). The other one is located outside the booking office at Eynsford Station.

The defibrillators are designed to be used in case of cardiac arrest. On dialling 999, the operator will direct the caller to the nearest defibrillator (if within reasonable distance) and give instructions on how to unlock the cabinet and use the device.

The defibrillator at the village hall was purchased via an anonymous donation and Eynsford Parish Council acts as guardian. The defibrillator at the station was purchased by the parish council with the help of a grant from the British Heart Foundation. If the defibrillator is used in an emergency, it will then be out of order until the equipment is renewed.
